Sadwick, the protagonist of The Whispered World, wakes up from one of his nightmares, and after talking to his family, decides to enter the depths of the Forest of Autumn to investigate. Once there, Sadwick meets a strange unknown person with a prophecy about the end of the planet.

Graphically The Whispered World has been created using some excellent backgrounds painted by hand and full of animated detail. The characters seem to be taken from classic cartoons. At all times there is a mix of fantastic elements with melancholy notes, creating an extraordinary story of epic proportions.

Of course the gaming system, typical of the genre, is by pointing and clicking the actions to be done and solving intricate puzzles.
